Hazy brown pour, small off white/beige head. Aroma of sweet, caramel, even nutty malts, with some soft fruit, especially figs, pears, and some apples. Very lively carb, nice mouth feel. The finish is lightly bitter, some good fruit, and some more creamy, sweet malts. Nice dubbel.

This dubbel poured a cloudy, deep red colour with a nice foamy head. Scents include caramel, ripe fruit, spice and a little vanilla. First swig was smooth and creamy with flavours of spice and malt with some raisin. Finish is sweet with ripe fruit flavours lingering. A little hop on the palate.

Can’t say I love this beer. Malt is alright, there is an unwelcome bitterness to it, and not a great aftertaste. Want to love it but...

Part of "The Best of Beau’s 2013" 4-pack at the LCBO. Pours a slight hazy amber-copper colour with a beautiful beige head, very long lasting and with some creamy thick lacing. Mild dark fruits nose with some banana, alcohol and hints of plastic. This alcohol plastic feel is also present in the taste with the banana in the background. Very light Belgian Ale yeast. Not sure about this plastic-bitter hop, as hop is not big in this style. Not the best Dubbel by any means, but real glad they brought it back so I could try it.

Bottle from the LCBO. Pours a deep hazy brown with a generous beige head that lingers.Nose is of bread and bananas. Quite sweet malt taste with yeast and cloves with a pronounced booziness. Medium body and carbonation.

A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, nail polish remover with light banana pulp, boring. In mouth, candy sugar, oily mouthfeel, solvents, ripe bananas, so-so. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest Sept 29 2012.

I wouldnt say this is dubbel, but not quite a tripel. Tastes like a double point five. Colour is the same, very light for a dubbel but dark for a tripel. Has a lot of the soft yeast tripel smell. Some good lacing, a little head with golden amber colour. Finishes of caramel, yeast, some saison like yeast and florals. Pretty good. One of the better beers Ive had from Beaus. On tap at the Only Cafe.
