From cask at Port Street Beer House, Manchester, 29.03.25. Served with a sparkler. Almost ebony. Creamy and persistent beige head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of roasted malt, tobacco, dark chocolate and coffee. Creamy mouthfeel. Good!

Cask at PSBH, Manchester. Pours unclear dark brown with a beige cap. Aroma: roasted malts, caramel, nuts, coffee, tobacco, a little smoke. Taste: light to moderate sweet & bitter, roasted malt, caramel, coffee, nuts. Light to medium body with soft carbonation. Good one.

19/4/2023. Cask at The Grayston Unity, Halifax. Pours black with a creamy light beige head. Aroma is deep roasted, bitter chocolate, caramel, coffee, touch of liquorice. Medium sweetness and medium to heavy roasted bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Good roasty mild.

Cask@The Great British Beer Festival 2022 (Days 1&2) - Dark sweet toasted malty, some dark dried fruit shred, caramel, brown sugar, dark malty lingering finish. Very nice.

Cask at GBBF '22 day 1, 02/08/22. Mahogany brown with a good sized beige covering. Nose is earthy fruit, dried fruit rinds, tobacco, brown bread. Taste comprises fruit slice, nutty, dark leaning malt base, tobacco, straw. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Solid flavoursome mild.

Cask (handpump) @ MBCF17 [ Manchester Beer & Cider Festival 2017 ] Manchester Central Convention Complex, Windmill Street, Manchester, Greater Manchester, England M2 3GX. [ As Blackedge Dark Mild ].Clear dark red brown colour with a large, frothy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, dark malt, light to moderate roasted and chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, sweet malt, dark malt, roasted, wood, chocolate malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
