Our annual Double IPA brewed in celebration of one of the greatest. Brewed with Cascade, Simcoe, and Mosaic hops, incredibly Tropical-- papaya, tangerine, passionfruit, and guava explode on the nose. Supporting rye character accents the fruit qualities in perfect harmony, creating a wonderful stage for refreshment and enjoyment. Zippy and complex... who couldn’t love this?

Fairly hazy golden coloured body with a very thick and dense, microfoamed tan head, very large at around six to seven centimetres tall that fades slowly. Aroma of dry grass, flowers, hay, a little dose of citrus fruits/lemons with a nice hit of yeast and bread as well. Medium-bodied; Very rich grassy and herbal flavours dominate, with a big hit of lemons and kumquats, with some alcohol and fairly substantial malts towards the end, with a pretty big yeastie and bready bite that hits with some residual honey as well, wiht some leftover, deeper Amarillo, Simcoe or Azacca-y hops leaving a big bitterness on the very end. Overall, a pretty nice, very deep and floral, real Imperial IPA with a dry, herbal and pungent beer that has some citrus/lemon/cleanser notes and some deeper sweetness leftover, with a dry maltiness with breadie and of course alcohol depth, that has no room to hide. I liked this fairly well, minus the choice of hops (whatever they used, it's not my favourite), but a solid base and shows pretty nicely throughout - good to try from Mik SD - the last time I was there was during lockdown and the last trip I made to the West Coast by myself for the day! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 21-December-2020 for US$5,69, brewed on 29-September-2020 ('Don't Hop Me Now'), sampled at my house here in Washington on 09-February-2021.

I picked this up from the Beerdome webshop Grootegast Netherlands and consumed at home Friday 5th March 2021 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music, cooking Prawn Masala curry, potato something, etc. Pours murky yellow/light brown with a white head. This is a very hoppy beer, however the sweetness hides the bitterness which is always there, streaky, almost a little numbing on the tongue. I like this a lot, from the amusing can design to the execution of the beer which is jolly decent, grear stuff.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates. Lovely nose with prickly pear, citrus zest, pineapple and durian aromas. More creamy durian and mild coconut on the palate with tangerine pith, pineapple and peach notes. ABV hidden well. Light citrus zest on the finish. Really nice.
