Fruity pale ale. It’s a Trifle like ya nan used to make, ploughed into a Pale Ale.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 28 July 2019) Reddish amber colour, hazy, with strawberries, blood orange and jam. Fruity taste with notes of strawberries, raspberries, blood orange, vanilla and a fairly low bitterness. Medium body, sweet. A bit too sweet and jammy, but fairly refreshing. Quite enjoyable.

Cask at CP&K, 23/06/19. Pinkish orange with an off white cap. Nose is jammy berries, pale malts, floral notes, straw. Taste comprises raspberry pips, trifle, custard, airy malts, fruit jelly, jammy sponge. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a sweet rasp at the curtain call. Fun novelty beer that pulls off the trifle mission well … wouldn't want to drink too much mind as it's a little sweet overall.

Bottleshare at Craft Islington. Cask. Hazy orange - gold beer, small bubbly white head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Light malts. Big candy fruits over a sweetish orange and tangerine citrus. Floral candy. Whisper of sherbet. Light finish. Good fun but wish it was on cooler keg.

Cask at CBC, Clerkenwell on 21st June 2019. Rated as a novelty ale. Cloudy orange with almost no foam or lace. Strong berry fruits aroma. Fruity and creamy in-mouth with orange, raspberry ripple, strawberry and hints of sherry, all of which work their way into the finish. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body. Works well as a refreshing bit of fruity fun. I may yet have another half before the pub closes.
