500mL bottle, pours jet black with a small brown head. Nose is rich and complex, with lots of maple syrup, gentle bourbon, plenty of vanilla, followed by cinnamon and lactose. Flavour is quite complex at first, with lots of maple syrup, bourbon, and vanilla beans, followed by cinnamon and a hint of lactose. Lots of maple syrup and gentle bourbon. The palate becomes a little sludgy / chalky after a while, suboptimally expressing these different flavours. It's a great beer for sure, but the palate could use some improvement.

Tasting at Ash's, bottle
Black colour with almost no head. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla. Good body strength, it's very sweet but not syrupy, masterfully balanced by some roast, then shaping into a chocolate and marshmallow drink, with gentle alcohol warmth.
Excellent.

First of two Imperial Stout from them tonight (the other being Black is Beautiful). Dark brown colour with a dark mocha-coloured creamy head, good stay and spotted lacing. I get lots of bananas in the nose, kind of like wheat and of course, the bourbon. Creamy mouthfeel with some building dryness in the finish. Rich flavours with chocolate, light maple, vanilla softening things and mild cinnamon spices in the end. A nice Sweet Imperial Stout with so much going on. Nice to try, but a little much to have a full glass.

500ml at Ash's shared with Alex and Phill. Appearance: deep dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: marshmallows, vanilla, some sweet berries that are probably coming from the cinnamon. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: nice one.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet chocolate notes with some vanilla and coconut and light bourbon notes are also perceptible. Taste is a mix of sweet chocolate notes with some coconut, vanilla and light bourbon notes with just enough attenuation to retain a good amount of drinkability. Body is full with nice thick creamy texture and good carbonation. Another great pastry stout with nice flavours and some pretty good drinkability.
