Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with floral coffee notes and dominant vanilla extract notes and residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with floral coffee notes and unpleasant vanilla extract notes with some residual sugar notes. Body is full for style with good carbonation with no discernible alcohol notes. Way too much vanilla extract.

Pours near black. No head, no carbo. The coffee goes big in the nose, the vanilla riding shotgun. Soft body, little bit of acidity, probably from the coffee. The vanilla character is mellow and refined, as is the barrel. I'd love a more assertive malt here, but the treatments are excellent - top quality flavours and in the right balance. This one's very good.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Nose brings out lots of vanilla beans and coffee upfront, with plenty of bourbon barrels to round it out. Flavour is big time on the coffee upfront, followed by bourbon oak, alcohol and a bit of vanilla beans. Lots of bourbon, alcohol, and coffee on the finish. A bit hot and lacking some cohesion but it's very nice.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with short tan head. Aromas of sweet bourbon, chocolate nougat, raisins, and slick roasted malts. Flavors follow same; bourbon is oaky, plus additional coconut and fruity black coffee. Alcohol on the finish, probably the coffee making it more obvious. Very good.

Dark brown colour, near black. Aroma of vanilla and chocolate. Good body strength; moderately sweet; very good flavour of cacao, then chocolate, coffee, vanilla; the flavours are very well combined; there is definitively an alcohol note, it's evident, but it's not boozy.
Excellent.

330ml shared with Ryan @ Alex's. Appearance: brown with a beige head. Aroma: lots of coffee with noticeable bourbon notes. Taste: tons of coffee, earthiness coming from it, quite a lot of bourbon too, moderate body, vanilla. Overall: a bit harsh, too much on the coffee side, lacks balance IMHO.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Dark brown with minimal beige head. Lots of coffee on the nose, taste of mild coffee, tons of vanilla, mild roast malt. touch of bourbon barrel. Decent. Unlike the last version (Event Horizon), I don't feel like this will improve with age... it is what it is.
