Remède de Chfal est l'assemblage de Imperial Stout affinés 15 mois en fût de bourbon Buffalo Trace 10 ans et en fût de BLiS bourbon ayant contenu du sirop d'érable. Nous avons ensuite ajouté une quantité impressionnante de noisette et d'amande. Nous effectuons plusieurs ajouts les uns après les autres. Après quelques jours au contact des noisettes et des amandes, la bière était tellement à notre gout que nous avons décidé de ne pas y ajouter de vanille. La mention apparaît toutefois toujours sur l'étiquette considérant quelles sont imprimés quelques semaines à l'avance. Vous y trouverez des notes intenses de noisettes, de chocolat et de bourbon sur un corps riche et intense.

A deep dark stout with no head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, vanilla, alcohol warmth, woody notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with dark fruits, woody notes, alcohol warmth, vanilla, light maple, very nice. On tap at Hautes Plaines location.

It's black and oily, with no head. Aroma of nuts, and dark caramel. Thick mouthfeel; sweet; liquorice seems to dominate, then chocolate sauce, soy sauce, very salty, bitter almonds.

750ml (thx, Jonathan M.!) on Alex's porch creating a template for storing my camping stuff. Appearance: pours like oil, very dark brown, almost no head. Aroma: charred oak, lots of licorice, nuts. Taste: along the same lines, very sweet, syrupy, some maple and nuts. Overall: pretty nice.

Draught: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with light retention and minor lacing notes. Aroma of sweet chocolate notes with some nutty flavors and maple syrup notes with some bourbon and vanilla notes. Taste is also a complex mix of chocolate notes with some nutty flavors and light maple syrup with some bourbon notes and light woody notes also perceptible. Body is pretty full with creamy texture and medium carbonation with some apparent alcohol notes. Well balanced pastry stout with a good mix of drinkability and complexity..

Black colour with no highlights, a mocha-coloured small, bubbly head, average retention and a nice creamy circle-ring on top of the brew. Cacao, chocolate malt base with some nuttiness, hints of soya sauce. The taste shows a slightly more bitter, than sweet, chocolate-cacao side. Good nut notes in there, with enough dryness in the finish to cut the richness. A really smooth, nutty Imperial Stout with the touch of the barrels of Bourbon, without overpowering.
