Cask at Pig's Ear 2017. It pours near black with a bubbly beige head. The aroma is earthy, rich roasted malt, coffee grounds, cocoa, wood, dull smoke and some booze. The taste is dry, charred wood, umami, peppery spice, toasty, tar, chewy malt, cocoa, warming alcohol and burnt cake. Medium+ body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Decent aspects to it for sure, but it comes across a bit charred and chewy.

Cask at The 34th Pig’s Ear & Cider Festival, Hackney, London. A black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, malty, dark fruit aroma. Tastes pretty much the same, roasty, malty, dark fruit, slight chocolate, Decent Imperial stout, probably the best that I've had from Kew Brewery.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Almost clear deep brown beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Thin but well flavoured dark malts. Spicy dark chocolate. Spicy dark fruits, almost whisky barrel like. Spicy dry finish. Robust and flavoursome.
