Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, dark copper colour. Thick, foamy, grey tinged, white head. Lots of citrus. Quite ashy. Some smoked malts, I think. Some dried, vinous fruits. Taste is light dry. Turns moderate bitter. A little chewy, fruity sweetness. Fairly full palate. Spritzy carbonation. Finishes smoky dry. Moderate bitter. Has a bit of a Belgian feel to it. Pretty unusual, but easy drinking.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 30th August 2014. Dark copper with an off-white foam and scant lacing. Richly malty aroma with smoked notes. Malty in-mouth with savoury touches, smoke and nuttiness - hazelnut. Lasting malty and nutty finish with burnt toffee. Despite malt dominating this ale, not too sweet. Lightish body but an engaging, full-on mouthfeel.
