Midnight mild has been brewed especially for the Oakademy of Excellence after requests for a mild were made. Midnight is associated with chaos, mystery, death and the underworld so don’t expect it to be too mild.
Mysteriously midnight brown in colour. Full flavoured, hints of roast malts with sweet delicate hop background, distant Oakham style hoppiness to finish.

Cask at Barton Arm 10th Anniversary fest; dark brown pour with thin white detected a slight coffee aroma, almost porter like taste, sweet some cherry very good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Midnight Mild on 10 May 2013 at 22:26 - Score: 7

Cask at the Farmer’s Boy, St Albans on 12th May 2012. Deep brown, yet clear, with a pale brown frothy lasting head and initial lacing. Fruity aroma with berries. Main taste in-mouth is caramel malt, coal and earthy pungency. Touches of milkiness in a complex finish, on a slightly grainy texture and light body, giving an easy-drinking feel to the beer.

Cask, handpump at The Queens Head, Marlpool, Nr Heanor Derbyshire 20-05-10 Brown with an off-white head. Tasty mild with a good nutty and malty base but being Oakham there was that inevitable hoppy undercurrent though this was well integrated and in no way distracted from from what they had intended this to be which was a decent stab at a mild. .
