Bottle split at The Cock, 18/01/18. Golden appearance with a decent off white head. Nose is tangerine, straw, melon, orange pith, grassy notes. Taste comprises mixed Tropicana, toasted breads, mango, light pine, tangerine, pithy citrics, airy malts. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Decent enough gear.

Bottle at The Cock. It pours golden with a thick, foamy white head. The aroma is fresh, bright, juicy, tropical fruit vibes, tangerine, piney action, brioche and candied orange. The taste is dry, bitter, fresh, pithy, zesty, orange citrus, mango, grassy, pine, brioche and a touch of pepper with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fresh and drinkable stuff. Decent.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up at Clapton Craft. Pours clear gold-orange with a fairly tight, creamy white head. The nose holds ripening citrus fruits, melon, straw, tangerine, lemon peel, just a hint of cat pee. Light to medium sweet flavour with further citric hop character, mild rindy and piney bitterness, some dried pale malts, lemon rind, tangerine pith. Medium bodied, lightly oily, with fine, massaging carbonation. Nicely balanced finish, with nips of piney resin, more pithy citrus, background crispy pale malts. Nice all-around IPA.

Very hazy orange - gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin bolts, mildly sweet with a little cream. Mellow hop skunk. Mild pine in to a modest bitterness. Floral citric peel. A touch of bitterish lime. Trace of fresh orange. Smooth finish leaves a citric peel linger. Decent but doesn't quite have the wow factor of some other recent Howling Hops beers.
