(473ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours near-opaque yellow-gold with a decent white head showing good retention and lace. Aroma of orange, mango/peach sweetness, pineapple, a little melon and some floral Galaxy backbeats, honey is not that perceptible on the nose amongst the normal BdBC florals. Flavour is rather dry for a honey DIPA, feels like it's fermented out. Grapefruit and pulpy semi-sweet orange, pineapple, some underripe mango, soft honeyed florals but nothing crazy, peppery citrus rind and smooth rounded yeast profile, drying finish with melon, grapefruit pulp, a little orange and green onion tingles. Medium-bodied, creamy, softly carbonated. Not honey-forward like I expected but a nice showcase for the hops, on the more floral side of their character.

Hazy golden colour with an amber hue, frothy-creamy warm cap, good stay and wet lacing. Very nice grassy hops nose with some nice citrus fruitiness, tropical notes and some peppery bite. There is even more bite in the taste with the grass bitterness that seems to be tamed, by this honey. Not sweet, nor syrupy. Just a touch of honey on the tongue and hints of pepper. This is quite good if you like herbal, bitter, but still very smooth.

Can: Poured a cloudy/hazy pale yellow color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of hoppy floral undertones of citrus and light tropical notes with some faint residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of floral citrusy hoppy notes with some faint residual sugar notes and juicy notes. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation. Another solid IIPA from this brewer.
