Tap at the Brew Wharf. Pours hazy brown with a bubbly, filmy tan head. Holds a rich hop aroma with light caramel. Flavor is semi-sweet with pronounced, earthy bitterness. You can almost taste the whole flower hops. Medium bodied with soft carbonation and a sticky, piney and resiny body. Finishes sweet and bitter, with some just perceptible roasted barley. Very good.

Cloudy dark brown. Woody, slightly citrusy American hop aroma. Chocolate, toast character. Nice flavour and balance, with a nice citrusy hop finish.

On draught at Brew Wharf. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Good hoppy nose with raisins, chocolate, herbs and coffee getting in on the act too . Smoky, dry flavours with a hint of chocolate and coffee. Soft hop presence easing it’s way through. Dry, hoppy bite in the finish. Went down very nicely.

On tap at Brew Wharf, London on 16th August 2010. EXQUISITE! Dark brown with grey head. Full of burnt, roast malts. Smoke and fresh-ground coffee. Lingering whole-mouth bitterness and a smooth, textured mouthfeel.

13th August 2010. On tap at Brew Wharf. Natch! Very dark brown beer. Suddy light tan head. Dryish palate that turns just a little soft. Some light roasted malt with a subtle undertone of red fruit. Blooming hop bitterness, nettley grassy hops. Leads to a semi dry finish with a hop bitter aftertaste that just keeps going! Took far too long to work out the name - Military Intelligence - Black ’ops - duh!
