A thin off-white head on a dark ruby body. A faint nose with roasted malt. It goes down pretty easy, but nothing to write home about. Dark roasted malt dominate the taste profile. There is some sweetness and a hint of bubblegum. A touch of counterbalancing hops.

Ummm ok, am I the only one who finds a 6% mild ale odd? Kinda defeats the purpose, no? Lots of roast and earthy malts, soft nuttiness, and brown sugar notes, with a strong malty finish. Semi sweet, low bitterness, nutty, and grassy. At 6% this is a brown ale if you ask me.

Can: Poured a brown color ale with a medium size light brown foamy head with light retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of grainy dry caramelized malt notes with light cereal notes. Taste is also dominated by grainy cereal notes and caramelized malt with a dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Not bad but a cleaner malt bill would have been even better.

355ml can from brewery that now shows 3% ABV .Pours a clean dark amber colour with a light beige frothy cap that has an average stay and some decent foamy lacing. Aromas of a nut brown ale with the caramel, fruity malts and some nuttiness. The taste has these things with all of these malts and roasted ones as well, giving some molasses notes. Hard to say this has this low alcohol content, as it shows a lot for a mild ale. Well done.

A reddish brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with grassy hops, light treacle, vinous character, nice. In mouth, a sweet fruity caramel malt with light fruity esters, nutty notes, alcohol warmth, grassy hops, interesting. On tap at Winter Brewfest Ottawa 2015.
