Can from the LCBO. Jet black pour, with a large brown head. Aroma is a blast of soy, rich, intense, burnt malts, rich cocoa, and espresso, with some resinous Hops, and very dark seminsweet fruitiness. Mouth feel is silky, and oily, with a soft carb. Highly bitter, rich, a little boozy, and intense.

12oz @ Ryan's (thx for the beer, dude!). 2023 vintage. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: roasty, some sweetness and chocolate. Taste: moderately sweet and thick, some roasty bitterness and chocolate. Overall: a bit lacking body by the current standards, but still pleasant.

Part of their Triple Play Fan Pack. Pours a dark brown colour with a creamy, big mocha-coloured head that stays quite a nice long time and leaves thick creamy-foamy lacing. Roasted malt aromas with some light dark fruits, maybe more apples, hints of molasses and nuttiness. The taste shows some more burnt malts with some decent hops in the finish to balance things. Mild sweetness, but the bitterness does not let it linger. Nothing much more in the flavours, but that is how an Imperial Stout can be. Goes down nicely with just enough warming.

Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of huge roasted malt notes with some chocolate notes and light dry hoppy notes. Taste is a mix of huge dry roasted malt with light bitterness, some black chocolate notes with some dry bittering hops also noticeable. Body is full with nice creamy texture and good carbonation with faint alcohol warming notes also perceptible. This is a big stout with huge flavours profile with good but not great drinkability.
