Session IPAs are amazing in bottle and keg, with a chilled fizziness letting the smelly hops work wonders, a hoppy cask number needs a bit more work to balance the malts with the hops...... and thats what we've done, with plenty of US hops and malty goodness

Craft Islington. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, modest fine carbonation. Soft light pale malts, sweetish. Floral hops, somewhat herby and bitter. Modest citrus and a little apple. Don't hate this but it's instantly forgettable.

Cask at CBC Covborn, 25/04/18. Very lightly hazed golden copper with a decent beige covering. Nose is orange peel, straw, melon, citric pith. Taste comprises melon, tangerine, sweet malts, light breads. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Passable stuff but lower end for the style and lack ho presence.

Cask at CBC Holborn - London. Cheers! Pours clear orange-gold with a small, foamy white head. The aroma holds orange rind, white grape. Light to medium sweet flavour, some flinty minerals, rindy bitterness, peach. Light bodied with soft carbonation; OK condition. Lightly astringent in the finish, more peach and white grape. Just OK overall.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 22nd April 2018. Clear, coppery amber with thin off-white film and scant lacing. Hoppy, zesty aroma. Zesty tangerine peel and grapefruit in-mouth with biscuit malt. These two flavour foci dominate the finish. Zingy mouthfeel and plenty of body. Superb.

Cask at Egham Beer Fest, 13/04/17. Herbal and grapefruit aroma. Light amber. Creamy white head. Light bitter, grapefruit and citrus. Light bodied. Watery. I felt carbonation. Short finish. It’s a session IPA, it goes down easily.
