A collaborative Double IPA brew with our friends from over t’hills, Cloudwater Brew Co. Golden Promise, Wheat, Oat and Crystal Malt were used for a smooth, golden, malty body. A combination of Magnum, Citra, Simcoe, Eureka and Mosaic T90 hops were used in the whirlpool and dry hopping, with additional Citra – ‘Cryo Hops™ Lupulin Powder’ added in the dry hop. Fermented with US ‘Double IPA’ yeast, the result is a massively fruit-filled DIPA with loads of Mango and Peach aroma/flavour and gravity-defying drinkability. Strap yourself in!

Can, shared at L42. Cheers! It pours hazy dull orange with a small white head. The aroma is rich, fresh, juicy, green, grassy, pine needles, lemon sherbet, candied peel and bread. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, grassy, green hops, spicy edge, herbal, weed, straw citrus peel and some alcohol sting on the bacl-end. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad at all. Drinks easy for the abv also.

Can split at L42, and a can at home a week later ... same scores despite being more relaxed sat just in my pants at home, 23/01/17. Golden orange with a well appointed off white head. Nose is tropical fruit punch, light peppery spice, citric kissed straw, mango flesh, grapefruit, pine needle. Taste comprises fresh grapefruit, apricot drool, peaches, orange pith, pine, toasted brioche, light caramel malts. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a sticky tropical fruit wash. Solid DIPA.

Can at home, 19th February 17. Pours a caramel colour, loads of yeast floaters, flat, no head. Aroma is sweet, pine, dank, ripe tropical fruit. Taste is bitter, sweet, pine resin, bitter pith, marmalade. Lovely dipa, only let down is the horrible yeast floaters.

500ml can. Hazy orange/amber appearance with an off-white head. Aroma: pine, tropical fruit, mango, grapefruit. Taste: same as the aroma, really hoppy, piney, tropical, orange peel, initially sweet quickly overrun with a lovely bitterness. Tingly carbonation, medium body. Excellent DIPA, and very drinkable for the ABV.
