A collaborative Double IPA brew with our friends from over t’hills, Cloudwater Brew Co. Golden Promise, Wheat, Oat and Crystal Malt were used for a smooth, golden, malty body. A combination of Magnum, Citra, Simcoe, Eureka and Mosaic T90 hops were used in the whirlpool and dry hopping, with additional Citra – ‘Cryo Hops™ Lupulin Powder’ added in the dry hop. Fermented with US ‘Double IPA’ yeast, the result is a massively fruit-filled DIPA with loads of Mango and Peach aroma/flavour and gravity-defying drinkability. Strap yourself in!

On keg at the Hanging Bat. Appearance - amber with a hint of autumnal red. Nice head. Nose - resin, earthy spice and pungent fruit. Parsnip? Taste - definitely spicy parsnip. Burnt oranges. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - good beer even if some of the expected fruity high points of the style were not one show.

Can. Magnum, CItra, Simcoe, Eureka and Mosaic hops. Hazy amber beer, big pale cream colour head. Very nice light mango nose. Palate is airy with fine minerally carbonation. Very light and smooth pale malts. Hops start with a light floral vibe and move on to lovely mango led tropical fruits, pine and hop spice bring up the rear. Trace of citric peel before a mildly light spicy finish. Dangerously drinkable as it is so very light. Session DIPA?

Can. Little Leeds Beer House. Cloudy, dark orange. A few floaters. Scummy white head. Nose has baked orange. Passion fruit. Ripe mango. Hint of spearmint. Fresh juicage. Taste is a little spicy, jammy sweet, with a juicy, oily bitterness. Drinks super easy for the ABV. Juicy, lightly zesty bitter finish. Like a homegrown Heady.
