This new beer is a lighter version of our Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne. Same recipe as the Oude Questche Tilquin à l'ancienne with 250 gr fresh plums per liter, but lighter in alcohol, due to the use of a blend of 50% of Meerts and 50% of 1 and 2 years old lambics.

Tap @ Beer Boy, Nakameguro. Pours orange-pink, bit cloudy and with some limited bubbles on the top. Looks like red plum juice, pulpy. Bose is tart, funk and vinegar mixing in a good way. Brett and some oak. Taste is acidic but not too much, still drinkable. Fruits are there but difficult to pinpoint plums - that they are. Oaky and dry, funky tartness lingering in the finish with a touch of bitterness. Plums and plum pith really coming out in the aftertaste, lingering even minutes after the last sip.

8 February 2019. Black Friday @ Dok, Ghent. Cheers to Anke! Pours hazy pinkish red/orange with a lasting, thin, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of sour cherries, strawberry jam, unripe (blue) plum, wood, hay, wheat, fruity yoghurt. Taste is heavy fruity sour, lots of plum & lemon (peel), hint of sour cherries & wheat, vague hay & barnyard; supported by a light woody & sraw-like bitterness, some grain & sweetish fruity edges, but lactic & fruity throughout. Dry, tart, mouth-puckering finish, lingering lemon, plum, wood & hay. Medium body, slick/oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Very 'pure' stuff, love it!

Draught at Darby's Gastown, Vancouver, 2x10oz
Cloudy. The aroma is very sour, it's fruity, with funky character. Soft mouthfeel, gentle carbonation; high level of acidity, It has a strong Lambic character, moldy cellar, and also strong fruit; drier and slightly astringent in the final.
Very good; the appreciation grows with the second glass.
