Level 42 botteshare. Can. Light haze on this deep brown beer, good tan head. Palate is airy, semi dry and has decent fine carbonation. Sweetish dark malts, soft malt cream, just a trace of roast malt and dark chocolate. Smooth mild pine. A little milk chocolate. Light finish. Smooth and tasty.

Aroma of good sweet hops and grapefruit. Has good white head and flight foggy yellow body. Has a good perfumy hop flavour. Dry finish. It’s a good IPA with some finesse behind it.

Bottle shared at level 42 Canary wharf tasting. 11/07/2016. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A mahogany brown coloured pour with a thin mid tan head. Aroma is woody pine needle, hint of choc, hot alcohol. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty choc, woody pine, assertive pine hop bitterness. Tangy pine. Palate is frothy, semi sweet. A decent effort.

Can thanks to Kenny. It pours murky dark brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, fruit cake, cocoa, brown bread and some lemon sherbet. The taste is bitter, earthy roast, cacao, spicy, soapy citrus, brown bread and a touch of alcohol with a pithy finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Fair cda.

Keg at the Exmouth Arms - London. Pours deep brown with a thick, creamy beige head. Good snout, moderate roast, grapefruit, melon and tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with nicely rounded chocolate, soft roast, cocoa, scorched earth, ripe citrus, orange and grapefruit. Medium bodied with average carbonation and massaging texture. Lightly resinous on the finish, some burnt pine, more cocoa, light roast, more juicy citrus. Very good CDA.
