Like a Matryoshka or ‘nesting’ doll, the secret of Dosvidanya lies locked deep within her dark, mysterious and elaborate wooden layers. We said Dosvidanya, or ‘farewell’, to the hidden soul of this oak bourbon barrel-aged Imperial Stout for several months before now revealing its rich, robust & roasty maltiness. This Imperial Stout brings notes of bourbon, cacao, cinnamon & chiles together with a dry finish.

Can, shared by Iznogud. Slightly thicker black with fading beige head. Quite a bit of vanilla, cinnamon, chili and chocolate. A bit dry and wooody. Sweetish without being cloying. Overall quite nice.

16 oz. can shared by tfontana. Thanks T. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, mild pepper. Flavor is strong all the adjuncts are here with the exception of not really finding a bourbon barrel. Still really great flavor.!

Can (11/3/21) pour from Total Wine & More, Brentwood. It's an opaque black with light viscosity, quickly fading off-white head and no lacing. Aroma is nice, strong, sweet malt, coconut, hint of chile. Taste is strong sweet malt, vanilla, cinnamon, chile taste and heat, faint bourbon and oak. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft-to-average carbonation, no sign of alcohol, and finish as taste. Overall, nice complexity and good strength so, make no mistake, this is a tasty beer but, frankly, the bourbon and barrel should be more present. ABV is 15% with no sign of alcohol.

Bottle. A- Bourbon, cocoa, chilies. A- Black color, black liquid, minimal head. T- Chilies, cinnamon, boozy, cocoa, medium spice. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, boozy finish. O- Great beer but probably the worst of all the Dosvidanya variants they've made. Would really benefit from some sweet vanilla to cut into the chilies a bit more. Good beer but a bit hot, at least fresh.
