Today’s Santa Claw is the jolly juicebomb that comes out of Westbrook Brewing only once a year. Every time it does, South Carolina craft fans flock to the taproom for a taste like elves to a toyshop!
Happy hopheads and haze fiends pile their tables high with pint after pint of Santa Claw. Every sip fills their heads with visions of juicy tangerines and pillowy-soft clouds, and the pleasing 7% ABV brings cheer to all who imbibe.

Can, from Broadway Dive Bar, Manhattan. Pours extremely hazy dark yellow, like orange juice, small frothy off-white head, unripe mango-citrus aroma, adequate carbonation, medium bitter orange peel-unripe mango taste, somewhat thick body, long medium bitter juicy finish. Juicy and satisfying.

Put up the tree as my five-year-old couldn’t wait 😉 Westbrook Santa Claw Hazy IPA 7% Hazy straw gold with a fairly juicy and perfumey aroma. Medium bodied while the smooth mouthfeel gives you a tangy fruit up front but a touch bitter finish. Not bad, unfortunately not fresh but hey that’s life. I felt it had loads of Sorachi ace.

From a pint can. Pours a hazy straw with an off white head. Aromas are of pine and dank hay. Flavors are moderately bitter citrus.

Can (11/10/20) pour from trade with AirForceHops--thanks for the opportunity, Chris! Appearance is opaque bright orange juice, light sparkle, finger-plus width off-white foamy head with poor retention and light leggy lacing. Aroma is strong citrus and tropical and candied fruits over bready backbone. Taste is strong orange, milder pineapple and biscuit. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, thick, soft texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, all the elements are here. Easy to drink.

Pretty good IPA, not particularly hazy but full of grapefruit, passion fruit, onion, and a lingering herbal bitterness on the finish. Dry finish is nice, and the cracker malts refuse to add cloying sweetness. A bit dull around the edges, but drinkable.

Pour is a slightly hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is pretty much all orange peel hops. Flavor is a bitter orange peel hop and a little melon. A bit thin but this has just enough hop presence to make this about par.
