Bottle pour at Salon Piva, courtesy of the MV folks. Dark, almost black pour with an off-white head. Nose is pretty strong esters upfront, but then it clears out and leaves soace for the spices - of which a lot are coming through. There’s a hint of booze and oak in there too. The taste is also quite spicy, I genuinely couldn’t tell what’s standing out and what’s not, but it’s also on the positive side as well as the beer doesnt get too messy. The bourbon notes also come through somewhat, with a hint of vanilla. The body is obviously huge with an average carbonation. Nicely layered and complex, fun to drink.

750ml bottle pours out cola brown topped with a small head. Nose is nice spice combo some sweetness and barrel notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts rich spice combo and barrel.

Bottle pour from share with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! Appearance is opaque black with nice sparkle, ring of beige head and no lacing. Aroma is strong brown bread, allspice, apple, dark fruits, mild bourbon. Taste is rich caramel, apple, raisins, dark fruit, mild tart fruit, holiday spices/nutmeg/spice, cinnamon, very mild clove, hint of vanilla? Bourbon oh-so-subtle in the background. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. No trace of alcohol. Overall, nothing is so dominant or bold to blow you away but if you allow yourself enough time and allow it to warm, you can get a huge amount of complexity. Really well balanced and everything complements everything else amazingly well. Well done.

750 ml from the RS. Aroma has a ton of spice with Belgian candy sugar. Flavor has a nice presence of Apple throughout with Nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice. After three years of sitting the burn barrel is almost not detected. Does have a nice warming affect after the swallow. Show no alcohol flavor. The Apple does give a near crisp texture.
