Wrenovation is always at the center of our mission to find the heart of the ever-changing, modern West Coast IPA. It’s built on a lean American 2-Row Malt base that finishes dry to showcase Cascade Cup winning Cascade, along with stunning Chinook hops from @billygoathopfarm in Montrose, CO and Pacific Northwest-grown Mosaic, and Amarillo that burst with an ideal harmony of fresh grapefruit, pine, and subtle raspberry hop flavors with a sturdy, supportive bitterness. It’s a prime pairing with fresh seafood and excellent with smoked, or grilled meat. Heck, we’ve even been known to drink it all on its own. At 6.5%, it’s crisp and drinkable all afternoon with a hoppiness that shines.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has has pine and a bit of onion with a bit of citrus rind supporting. Flavor has pine and grass with a bit of onion and light grains underlying.

Can, thanks Gregor! Clear orange golden. Smooth green onions and wild garlic, fruity. Taste is full, fruity, even some crunch. Piney, smooth. This is actually quite good. Apr 26.

4 oz. draft at the source. Flavor and aroma; bold Amarillo, some odd citrus, herbal toned. Bitterness is strong. Touch astringent in bitterness.

32oz growler pours with a near clear deep gold body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy herbal like hops, malts, a bit of a biscuit like maltiness and then some pine like hops into the end of the draw. The taste delivers bitter spicy hops and herbal hoppiness and just a modest degree of floral hops initially and then it gets into more grassy resiny almost piney like bitter hops. Supporting the hops is a smooth somewhat sweet malt base. Not my favorite hop profile but this is executed pretty well and I’d certainly drink it again.

On tap at Wren House Brewing, pours a hazy copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, biscuity malt and some light diacetyl. Flavour is less infected, with lots of citrus and piney hops upfront, followed by biscuity malt. Robust and well-balanced. Very good.
