Galaxy hops, exclusively grown in Australia are revered for their clean bright aromas, and lend notes of passion fruit, citrus and peach. The Comet hops packs a wildly bitter punch with a blend of grapefruit, lemon and orange flavors.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to tulip.
Appearance: soft yellow to copper coloring with a finger and a half of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: light peachy and citrusy hop tones, mild bready hop notes
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together in a nice bittersweet blend; nice finish of those hops
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper, some smoothness but also light hop abrasion to the tongue (was expecting that)
Overall: nicely done West coast styled DIPA well worthy of returning to.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a frothy white head that fades quickly, but leaves a very ugly lace on the sides, all the way up to the top. Aroma of grassy and quite floral hop notes with a clean bite, some light pine and resin along with the smallest hint of citrus and bubblegum noticeable with some mellow malts here. Light to Medium-bodied; Pretty piney and grassy hop notes dominate while being fairly clean in terms of malt and body with a layer of bitterness up front and some softer sugars from the fruit notes behind with a decent enough balance, as it's light across the board. Aftertaste is dry, fairly grassy and herbal with some nice hay and flowers here as well, but there isn't much to this, especially in terms of the malt bill and the balance here. Overall, a decent enough IPA but nothing special nor too balanced, and while I can't figure out if this is supposed to be a new school or old school IPA, it sits squarely in the middle and this is nowhere close to Imperial Status in any regard. Not really worth trying and I'm glad I bought this and drank it first on my trip out West here without carting it back home all the way across the country! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Fairfield, California, a few hours ago on 28-August-2022 for US$3,00 (at least it was cheap!) sampled in my hotel room here in San Francisco, California on 28-August-2022.

Can from Geers. Hazy golden, stable, frothy, white head. Aroma of dank pineapple, pomelo, grapefruit peel, lime, mandarin, spring onion. Taste has sweetish pineapple & mandarin, bitter core of grapefruit peel, mango & some pine, bit dank & spicy. Zesty & earthy hoppy finish, resinous almost, lots of citrus rinds & pine, very bitter but nicely so. Hint of warming alcohol kicks in very late. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. On point!

473 ml can from Hasegawa Liquors, Tokyo Station. Pours nce golden, lightly cloudy, little white foam on the top. Nose i grassy, some malty undertones but sweet and sticky part is well hidden. Taste has resins, good full bodied feel and feel lighter than its abv would suggest, well balanced with hops, not too astringent, just the right amount. Grassy bitter linger in the finish. IPA that I can enjoy.

Can at home. Quite clear (initially) light orange color, medium sized white head. Smell and taste malts, hops, decently fruity amd fruit hoppy bitter. I did not expect this to be 8% ABV. Dangerously easy to drink. Quite pleasant. 8-4-8-4-15.

15/I/19 - 1Pt. can from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home, BB: n/a, canned: n/a, no dates on the can, sad enough - (2019-86) Thanks to Erwin for sharing the can!
Pretty Clear orange beer, big creamy yellowish head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: very floral, honey, bit sweet, sugary, lavender, overripe fruit, some banana, almonds. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, alcohol, bitter, hoppy, bit resinous, floral notes, bit sweet. Aftertaste: very bitter, dry, bit grassy, floral, some marzipan, sweet malts, pretty sugary, nice beer, but not a nice ipa, this has clearly aged for too long. Yet I only bought this less than 3 months ago…

Can picked up from Beer Gonzo online shop, Earlsdon, Coventry and consumed at home Friday 28th December 2018 whilst cooking Home Style Lamb Curry and also a Mushroom and Pea Korma. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Wonderful zippy fruity nose, fruity in the mouth, streaky citrus, sweetness, pine resin, The citrus and Galaxy working wonders, I love this style of IPA. Brilliant beer. A8 A4 T9 P4 Ov17 4.2
