Bottle shared at the craft beer junction bermondsey tasting. Many thanks. A clear cola brown coloured pour with a halo of khaki head. Aroma is semi sweet, mint, cola cubes, brown sugars. Flavour is composed of salty, cakey, salt, cola cubes, cardboard. Brown sugars. Palate is semi sweet, light tang, mellow carbonation. Harsh bitter.

Bottleshare at CBJ. Thanks to LKS. Near clear amber brown beer, small tan head. Airy and fairly dry palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Alright chocolate malts, slightly bitter. Mild pine. Ripe fruits on the back end. Quite a dry finish. Too dry but flavoursome.

Bottled shared at CBJ - picked up in MA. Pours deep brown with a creamy, beige head. Medium sweet flavour, somewhat dry, bit oxidised, dried berries, prunes, raisins, toasted wood. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, dry and fruity. Drinkable but fairly tame.

Pours deep mahogany into a snifter. Tan head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Vanilla, oak and whiskey aromas. Thin with vanilla, oak and bourbon front to back. Medium length hot caramel and toasted sourdough finish. Tasty as a whiskey beer, but not a lot of quad in there.

Bottle from Colonial Spirits. Somewhat hazy dark brown with ruby highlights. Could have been my pour though. Frothy tan head shows great retention. Brown sugar, dark fruit, hints of chocolate with a touch of vanilla bourbon and wood. Wow thats a pretty nice sipper right there. Clean smooth well made fruity quad.

12 oz. bottle shared by Chalumeaux, much thanks! Deep brown / garnet color with very thin head in the snifter. Nose has lots of pitted fruits. Black cherry, red grapes, plums. Just the faintest hint of whiskey after the fruits. The flavor is mostly the same as the aroma, alcohol is almost completely hidden with just a touch of warmth after the swallow. Whiskey barrel treatment is mild but still noticeable. Mouthfeel is chewy and shows a molasses sticky sweetness, lots of malt. You have to really like Belgian Quads to appreciate this brew. I enjoy the style and would have preferred to hold this just a tad longer but I am happy, T. J. shared this with me. Enjoyable.

12oz bottle pours a murky, deep brown with some ringing, white head. Nose has candy, vanilla, booze, some raisin, a little rum, nougat. Flavor has a ton of vanilla, caramel, fig, nougat. Full bodied and sweet but not cloying. Not for everyone maybe, but I liked this a lot.
