Old rating from notes. This was very good. Banana, brown sugar and caramel. Sweet malt. Great beer; sadly I don't think this brewery exists any longer. --- Beer merged from original tick of Weizenbock on 13 Apr 2019 at 14:23 - Score: 7

750ml bottle pours a murky, opaque brown with some white head. Nose has chestnut, caramel, clove, bruleed apples. Flavor is sweet, boozy, plantain, banana, clove, bubblegum, malt, licorice. Big, beefy finish.

Trade with Skyview. Dark mahogany color with thin white head with Light retention. Aroma of burnt sugar, light clove and light medicinal nuance.
The flavor has that medicinal note with earthy German malts. It has a burnt sugary texture over the tongue. The clove was there a bit without any yeast that I was hoping for. The yeast was overpowered by malt and burnt sugar. Honestly not bad but not something I would not want to revisit. Still drinkable if you like real earthy malt and sugar. Meh.
