La Cholie Fräulein est une brune allemande aux reflets cuivrés et au corps mince. Son nez fleure bon le caramel, le café et la noisette. La bouche présente à celui qui ose s’y abreuver des notes maltées et fruitées, le tout s’étirant dans une finale ronde et légèrement vineuse.

Draft @ Lord Hobo. I guess the inside of this place is supposed to look like the inside of a boxcar. Needless to say it’s poorly lit. I could tell it was dark in color with thin head. Nose is chocolate and Munich malts. The smell leads into a dirty earthy malt flavor. Brown sugar hints with roasted nuts with earthy Munich malt finish. Medium body with a soft carbonation. Overall not really something I would reach for again.

4oz pour at Churchkey’s Bells event during DC Beer Week 2013. Pours a clear dark amber with some creamy, beige head. Nose is oddly a little smokey, apple, malt, a little corn cob. Flavor is sweet, apple, malt, light smoke. Malty and smokey finish.

Tap: Poured a clear copper color bock with light brown foamy head. Aroma consists of caramel malt with light chocolate notes. Taste is also dominated by caramel malt with light bitter chocolate notes with light grainy notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not the most complex beer with pretty straightforward flavours and some good attenuation.

A clear reddish bick with mocha head. In aroma, fruity nutty malt with dark fruits and chalky notes. In mouth, a nutty caramel malt with light fruity notes, roasted coffee beans, not bad. On tap at Festibière de Gatineau, May 25, 2013.
