In 2019, we embarked on a mission of barrel-aging our first Imperial Milk Stout. After aging more than a year in freshly emptied bourbon casks, we added heavy amounts of granola and maple to this already decadent treat; resulting in the perfect beer to warm you up on a cold winter’s evening.

Can. A- Maple, fudge, sweet. A- Black color, black liquid, no head. T- Maple, sweet, rich, chocolate fudge. P- Full body, medium texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- 1 year old. Tons of maple, tons. Very sweet and tasted like a maple chocolate fudge. Shocked there are only 2 ratings for this but it was $23 for a 16 oz can. Not sure the granola adds much flavor and the barrel influence isn't strong in flavor or abv. Good but 16 oz needs to be shared 2-3 ways.

Sampled from the tap at the brewpub. Pours a cloudy very dark brown with a light brown head that dissipates quickly and completely. Aroma is full of maple with some sweet dark grains and a touch of toffee underlying. Flavor has a bit of granola but is mainly strong maple and a hint of sweet dark grains backing.

Can. Pours opaque black, minimal brown head, hint of lacing. Aroma is huge maple, liquid pancakes. Flavor is majorly sweet, light bitter, overwhelming maple. Full body, creamy. Reminds me of that great notion beer. Holy hell 4,8,7,4,15
