Keg at the King and Castle, Tourist Town Central, 10/04/15. Lightly hazed orange amber with a decent light beige covering. Nose is tangerine, caramel malt, straw, earthy bitter notes, orange. Taste comprises light soap, hint of grapefruit, orange peel, floral notes, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, earthy hop bitterness.. Ok stuff, has enough hops and citric presence to put this beer in the IPA category, of the session variety.

Masque Haunt Spoons. Keg. Lightly hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Nice minerally crisp palate. The pale malts are airy with light creamy sweetness. Decent spicy orange hops, trace of peel. Mild pine. Crisp finish. Really nice balance and drinkability to this beer. A true session IPA and clean and crisp on Keg.

Keg at William Jolle (W’Spoons), Northwood Hills. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, malty aroma. Tastes hoppy, malty, citrus with a slight sweetness. Served way too cold but quite good.

On tap at the Bear (JDW), Maidenhead. Nice to see that the London Beer Festival has extended it’s reach to Berkshire! This is a hazy amber pour with a dense cream head; grapefruit aroma; and a luscious bitter grapefruit taste, with a nicely rounded soft creamy body and some grainy sweetness to finish. Satisfying and rather good.
