Can from Beers of Europe. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of spice and dough, light lemon. Taste is more of the same. Grassy bitter finish.

Can from Bierkiste. Clear golden, low offwhite head. Cake malt and belgian yeast perfume, medium body, mellow mouthfeel. On the sweeter side, light perfume, honey, cake, well enough balanced, pleasant. .

440ml can as part of a delivery from Beers of Europe and drunk at home. Clear light blonde with a loose ring of white head. Buttery and bready aroma with some Belgian yeast and light spice. Balanced taste with a hoppy and astringent bitterness cutting through the initial sweet taste. Honey, wheat, light citrus. Medium body with slightly heavy carbonation. Pretty muddled but not bad overall.

Can from Asda, High Wycombe. Vivid clear gold with a thin white head and an obvious fizz. Dry and yeasty with cardamom seeds, white pepper and a waft of smoked meat. Some fresh banana and a hint of lemon emerges in the finish. An interesting and enjoyable brew from my favourite of the regional family brewers.

Can. Bright clear gold beer, small but tidy white head. Light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, the thinnest of sweetness. Fairly strong esters in the mid. Bubblegum and fruity esters. Some floral bitterness. Boxy citrus peel bitterness. Light dry crisp finish. Yeah, genuinely Belgian in most characteristics except drinkability.
