Can thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden and clear with a fluffy white head. Nose - biscuit, hay, honeycomb and light toffee. Taste - honeycomb, brown bread and light toffee again. Palate - medium bodied, creamy middle and decent roast on the finish. Overall - good stuff!

Can from Lidl Blairgowrie. Pours clear pale gold with a thin white head. Aromas of light malt and lemon. Bready taste. Bitter finish. Good body for the strength.

Can from Lidl Bucksburn. It pours deep golden - blonde with a small fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, candied lemon, lemon parfait, biscuity, custard creams, toasty grain and some floral accents. The taste is crispy, dry, toasty grains, quite mellow, muted even, fragrant, floral, honey suckle, biscuit and lemon parfait with a floral finish. Light body and fine, prickly carbonation. Pretty mellow and easy going.

Can from Tesco. Amber pour with a white head. Citrusy nose. Malty, citrusy taste. Possibly the worst Northern Monk beer I've had. Exceedingly dull tasteless nonsense. Just as well my mate gave this to me, less regret involved.

Keg @ Northern Monk Refectory, Manchester. Darker clear golden with a small glow and a small head. Noticeably lower in alcohol but still pleasant enough. Tastes a bit like honeycomb but without the sweetness. Fair but nothing classy.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from the local big Tesco. Pours clear, rich gold with a foamy, mostly white head. Light-medium sweet flavour with lightly doughy pale bread, soft bitterness, nips of hay, biscuits, English yeast. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with further bready pale malts, a little dough, fresh grains. Easygoing and drinkable.
