Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours deep, oily brown-black with a creamy tan head that lays down slowly. Lots of milk chocolate on the nose, slight roasted malts, burnt toffee, dried fruits, burnt marshmallows. Big sweet flavor with some creamy chocolate, nips of vanilla, figs, raisins, brown sugar, moderate balancing earthy bitterness, accents of char and baking cocoa. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with more gooey chocolate, well ripened dark fruits, mild bitterness. Wonderfully nuanced and dangerously drinkable. Outstanding.

Bottle at home picked up from the brewery a few months back and split with Sarah. Clear dark brown coloured pour with orange and red hues, and a medium ligh tan / cream, coloured cap. Aroma is semi-sweet vanilla and oak, plummy stewed fruits, caramel and some fruit and nut chocolate. A little warming alcohol on the nose, but subdued and plenty pleasant. Flavour is composed of nice malt depth with rounded caramel, toffee and soft roast. Nce berry and plum fruits in the mid palate and a hint of bitter chocolate in the finish. Mellow booze with a little oak character. Palate is full and velvelty, moderate carbonation. his beer sort of straddles barley wine and Imperial stout quite nicely. Good work Partizan.

Clear purple brown beer, samll beige irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of coffee, roasted, some banana, fudge, caramel, bit yeasty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: dark chocolate, mocha, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: coffee, roasted, bitter, hoppy, some overripe fruits. Not a fan...
