Draft: Poured a clear black color ale with a nice foamy head. Aroma of roasted malt with light green hoppy notes is pleasant. Taste is a nice mix of roasted malt with light green hoppy notes but unfortunately finish is a bit thin. Body is a bit thin with good carbonation. Not bad but not great either.

A brown ale with a thin mocha lacing head. In aroma, nice fruity chocolate malt with light coffee notes, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with light coffee notes, grassy hops, smooth and quaffable. On tap at brewery.

First beer at the Lagunitas Beer Circus, and a nice start to the day. Looks for all the world like a stout. Smell is mostly grainy malt, but roast is quite light. Fizzy mouthfeel, warm chocolate roast malt flavor, but again, light on roastiness. Feels more nutritious, as a Guinness might be. A bit lighter on the sourness than the usual Guinness tribute.
