hieß, dass wer nicht vor Trunkenheit umfiele, den Zorn der Götter spüren würde. Ohne Odins Rezept persönlich gesehen zu haben, schwebt mir zu diesem Thema folgendes vor: Kastanienfarben wäre schon einmal eine schöne Ausgangsposition von der Malzseite her. Als Gewürze könnte ich mir darin gut vorstellen: Zimt, Nelken, Orangenschalen, Vanille, Sternanis sowie Piment. Und dann das Ganze noch etwas mit Honig verfeinern. Die Reifung auf in Cognac eingeweichten Rosinen sollte dem Ganzen noch das Krönchen der Geschmacksdifferenzierung aufsetzen. Dieser Winter kann von mir aus ruhig kommen. Stoßt mit mir auf die wieder länger werdenden Tage an!

"Pax Bräu Juleøl", 1-l-Flasche. - Rötliches Goldbraun, trüb. - In der Nase frische orangenfruchtige Herbe, eingebettet in schweres toastiges Malz, Orangenschale, Leder, Menthol. - Im Antrunk intensive Gewürze: Piment, Nelke, Anis, kühles Menthol. Kräftige ölig-zitrusfruchtige Herbe von Orangenschale. Milder rezent, schlank; der Alkohol ist gut kaschiert. Auch im Abgang dominieren Gewürze und herbe Orangenschale. Leicht holziger Nachtrunk mit Noten von Cognac. - Sehr unrundes, von penetranten Gewürzaromen dominiertes Bier. Nur schwer trinkbar.

Copper colour with soapy head. Aroma and flavour is basically clove juice. Overpowering and medicinal.

7 3 7 3 14Draft at Craft Beer Corner, Cologne. Clear amber with a cream coloured head. Aroma of big Christmas spices, clove, caramel and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Craft Beer Corner. A clear dark golden beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of cinnamon, herbs, nuts, reddish malt. Taste of dry mild roasted malt, nuts, cinnamon, Anis, nice.

Sampled from tap at 'Craftbeer Corner Coeln'. Clear, dark amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, a bit spicy aroma and a little smoky of caramel, honey, juniper and some clove. Slightly sweetish, malty, moderately bitter, rather spicy and a bit smoky taste of caramel, honey, juniper and clove, followed by a medium long, moderately bitter, quite spicy finish. Medium body, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Aroma is spicy and sweet with clove, vanilla and some sweet fruitiness. Flavour has spices, clove, some sweet fruitiness and malt. Rather typical "spice bomb" -style xmas beer.

1000ml bottle, thanks Timo A. Pours orange with a foamy white head. Aroma of spices, smoke, hay, menthol, anise, cinnamon, orange peel and raisins. Taste is malty, spicy and earthy with some smoky notes, hints of hay, orange peel and cinnamon. Finish is spicy, earthy and grainy with some earthiness, hay and hints of orange peel. Interesting.
