Bottle in the lcbo winter mixer 6er. Dark amber pour, small white head. Aroma is very spicy, lots of cinnamon, ginger, candied citrus peel, and cloves. Solid mouth feel, and a solid carb. Finish is quite sweet, and overly spiced. The spices take over. I feel like I’m chewing a bag of species.

This one poured a clear amber colour with a minimal head. Scents include alcohol, Fruit cake, and soya sauce? First swig was very flavourful with flavours of cake, molasses, brandy and malt. Finish was warming and strong with flavours...

A dark reddish brown ale with a thin mocha head . In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with cinnamon, cloves, dark fruits, plums, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light vanilla, cinnamon and cloves, a bit cloying and thin, so-so. On tap at Ottawa location.

Comes in their Seasonal Sampler (winter 2014). Pours a deep amber colour with a beige head that disappears quick enough and leave minimal spot lacing. Aromas of gingerbread cookies with some other spices (cinnamon, nutmeg). The taste is where the honey shows, adding some sweetness in the middle, but the hops and spices finishes well. Not a brew you can drink a lot of, as heavy overall, but one I would like to have every winter.
