A soft, fresh nose of floral hops. Light tan body with a pure white head. A light, fresh floral hoppiness is the dominant feature of this wet hopped Harvest Ale. Very much like an understated IPA. Sweet bready malt was a great choice to underscore the hop profile. My half growler was from the first of two batches produced so far of Drink me Know. Generally speaking, the second batch had a more pronounced and aggressive hop profile. Both quite tasty, but quite different.

Un mélange de feuillus et de conifères se dégage de l’olfactif. Arômes de vieille terre, de feuilles mortes avec une touche d’herbes fraîchement coupées. On est loin ici des houblons américains. Le visuel s’assortit d’une petite mousse rocailleuse qui s’attarde sur un liquide blond doré assez flou. En bouche, on a droit à une amertume intense de feuilles mortes et de vieille terre. La finale astringente persiste de longues minutes. Bien que ce soit la première fois que je goûte une bière "wet hopped" ça ne me donne pas une très bonne impression. Est-ce le houblon lui-même, la méthode de houblonnage? Je trouve l’amertume à la limite du supportable. Peut-être pour d’autres, mais pas pour moi merci!

Growler: Poured a hazy hay color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of green hops notes is quite pleasant. Taste is also dominated by light green hoppy notes with light cereal notes also noticeable. Light bitterness but mostly floral aroma. Body is about average with good carbonation. I would have liked the hops notes to be even more pronounced but very enjoyable nonetheless.

A hazed golden ale with a thick frothy creamy off white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice. In nice crisp grassy biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light citrus, quaffable. On tap at new brewery location as part of Ottawa beer run.
