Tap. Dark brown color, weak foam. Aroma: smoked, plastic, grassy, earthy, caramel. Taste: slightly watery, caramel, smoked, earthy, tea, light acidity and dry.

Borefts IX. Day 2. Keg. Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and has modest fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, trace of dark chocolate. Tangy smoky tea. Tangy dark fruits. Light dry and slightly spicy finish. Nice idea, doesn't really work that well for me.

Draught @ 9th. BBF 2017 [ 9th Borefts Beer Festival 2017 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Kwartje FireWire Lapsang ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, wood, smoke, black tea - smoked tea leaves. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, smoked tea leaves, wood, smoked, dark malt, tea bitter. Body is medium, texture is oilyy, carbonation is soft to light flat. Sampled from tap at Borefts 2017. Murky brown with a beige head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, a bit roasty and quite smoky-herbal aroma of tea, smoked ham and a touch of chocolate. Moderately sweet, a little sourish, herbal-smoky and a bit roasty taste of tea, smoked ham and some chocolate, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit roasty and rather herbal-smoky finish. Very interesting, not bad actually!

@Borefts 2017 van tap, bruin met kaki kraag. aroma van koffie, thee, mout, smaken van geroosterde mout, koffie, thee, gebrande mout, cacao, droog, mwah 't zuurtje in dit bier is niet goed, weird.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2017, day 1. Opaque brown to dark brown color, medium sized beige head that leaves ok lacing. Aroma is stout mixed with tea. Taste malts, light smoke, dark malts, tea again. Moderately bitter and herbal / spicy a bit as to be expected.

7 3 8 3 16 Draft at Borefts Beer Festival '17. Dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of if black tea with chocolate, caramel and coffee behind. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ Borefts 2017. Day 2. Dark brown, creamy tanned head. Nose is nice Lapsang Souchong, caramel, nice plastic tea. Taste is bit weird, smoked plastic, sharp Lapsang Souchong, bit much, weird smoke, almost vaguely sour, weird. Not optimal but very heavy Lapsang Souchong, nice & better than the base beer.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2017. A dark hazy brown beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of dark roasted malt, smoked malt, peaty, wood. Taste of peaty malt, red fruits, dark malt, mild bitterness.
