Cask at the Shakespeare’s Head, Holborn on 11th October 2025.
Deep amber with minimal foam and spot lacing. Nutty malts aroma. Malty in-mouth with lactic notes and hazelnuts. Finish is malty with notes of just-off-fresh dairy cream. Smooth mouthfeel and a medium body.

Cask ale, half-pint shared with Finn at Barrel Vault (JDW). Near clear amber body, film-type layer, upper part lacing on the glass. Moderate smell of herbal malts, mid-sweet. Blended taste of caramel malts, biscuit, and herbal hops. Mid-dry ending, discreet bitter ending. Pretty fair. (St. Pancras, London 13.02.2023).

A golden ipa with a very thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity biscuit malt with resinous hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous hops, light mineral notes, light dank notes, pleasant. On tap at brewery.

[Cask at the Willow Walk (JDW), Victoria.] A bright golden amber pour with a thin white head; floral aroma; soft in the mouth with a syrupy texture, some biscuity malts and bittersweet citrus fruit; leading to a satisfying finish with sharp grapefruit and some leafy herbs. Rather good.

Cask at the Kentish Belle, Bexleyheath. Amber pour with a white head. Tangerine, orange peel and floral aromas. Flavours of orange zest, more tangerine, candied peel. Bitter fruity finish. Quite an enjoyable number.
