On cask at the Ottawa beerfest. Cask Dry-hopped plus with chocolate. A very clear copper pour, especially for a cask. Malty, chocolate and hop pellet bouquet. The taste is floral, chocolate, earthy, a remarkably complex and balanced beer. Good fun.

Well-textured but uneventful in flavour. Creamy malt makes up most of the aroma. Pours amber with great head and lacing. Finishes with light sweetness. Creamy, soft carbonation. Tap at Ottawa brewpub.

Enjoyed at the Ottawa Brewpub with the GF on our first night there, with the ribs special and some nachos. Pours a caramel-amber colour with a beautiful off-white head that is creamy, long lasting and adds dirty lacing. The aromas are quite mild with some sweet malts, hops and cereal grain notes. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. The taste has a bit more bite, but still mild with caramel malt, good grain in the finish and slight hop adding some bitterness and dryness. A pretty nice, easy-drinking, creamy Irish ale with help of the nitro.

A copper amber with a thick nitro mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with faint grassy notes. In mouth, a sweet nutty caramel malt with fruity esters, burned notes, light roasted notes, nit a lot of maple though. On tap at Mill Street Ottawa, Feb. 18, 2012.
