This is our flagship beer. We consider it the “A” in ABC. It was our first creation and this gem continues to be our most popular beer. An excellent introduction to the craft beer world. Ashton’s Amber Ale has subtle flavouts that will appeal to every palate. This pint boats caramel notes, hoppy aromas and a clean finish. Enjoy!

Clear dark copper with a large off white head that produces tight lace. Nose has caramel malts with some light grass. Flavour follows with a light+ sweetness and a light+ grassy bitterness. Medium creamy mouth with average carbonation.

Schönes Kupfer im Glas, in der Nase Karamell, im Trunk noch deutlicher, leicht röstig, sehr schöne Malznoten, bittersweet, lecker.

Draft: Poured a clear burgundy color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of grainy malt notes with light dry hoppy notes. Taste is also a mix of grainy malt notes with some dry hoppy notes. Body is light with OK carbonation. Not really great with weird grainy malt notes.

Very nicely hopped amber. Pours dark amber without much head or lacing. Some sharp grapefruit hops on head here with a good malt base. Almost tastes more like a good session pale ale. Tap at pattys.

Sampled at Quinn’s Ale House in Ottawa, Ontario. Pours a golden-amber colour with a small white cap and some lacing. Caramel nose with some light fruity aromas. The mouthfeel is your typical wetness. Mild sweetness at first and then, mild bitterness for the finish. Refreshing amber ale with a little more taste than standard ones of this style.

A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. in aroma, a caramel malt with light grassy hops, with berry notes and some light off aromas. In mouth, a sweet nutty malt with butterscotch, with solvent notes, and Light British hops. On tap at Patty’s, Dec. 10 2011.
