Originally rated July 2006. This one is the last for me to try of the three Founder’s Series... unless they add some more (which I would not mind). It pours a clean amber colour with a nice creamy slightly off-white head. Retention is excellent and lacing left is pretty good. Big fruity aromas with heavy grain and cereal malt and mixed with some caramel and butterscotch. Reminds me a lot of the other two brews of this series. Smooth creamy mouthfeel, steady carbonation all over and lace following the glass all the way down. Mild caramel at first taste, but not too sweet with some nice flowery bouquet. Then the bready malt kicks in with some mild hoppy bitterness, to then finish with some light nuts and butter aftertaste. A pretty good beer, just like the others, but still think I prefer their Pilsener a slight notch.

341 ml bottle from MrManning! Thanks Len!!! Nose is slightly grainy with some caramel malts, sweetness and some pinon pine nuttiness; clear amber with a big straw head; flavor is semisweet caramel with an apple note, but only a tiny bit of bitterness in the finish! Decent ADL; actually #21 by style!

Lightly hazed amber lager with a thin off white head. A rather sweet malt aroma, with caramel notes, a bit corny. In mmouth, I agree with dabosk that this is veering into Rickards territory in terms of taste. A sweet caramel malt with notes of diacetyl, and a bit more hops in finish than RR. Boring.

Bottle from Lubière: Poured a light amber color beer with a huge white head with average retention. Aroma is quite grainy with very limited hops presence. Taste is light with some sweet caramel and a good cereal/grain presence. Very little hops and finish a tad watery. Overall, this is a bit too boring and definitely prefers the Brickman pils as a session beer.
