Tap at Gremlin. Quite bitter, roast and pine. Bit earthy, high on citrus, light roast at the finish. Think I prefer the non harvest version. Something not quite there for me this time.

Borefts IX, Day 2. Keg. Clear deep amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Thin and dry dark malts. Bitter floralness. Mild roasty malt. Earthy dry bitterish finish. Bit thin and dry.

Draught @ 9th. BBF 2017 [ 9th Borefts Beer Festival 2017 ] @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. [ As Shiga Kogen IBA Harvest Brew ].Unclear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, spruce, wood. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hoppy, pine, wood, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20170922] 7-3-7-3-15

Hopfig-malziger Beginn. Wässrige Röstnoten, wenig biter, moderat hopfig, was aber zugunsten der anderen Aromen meist im Hintergrund bleibt. 9/8/9/8//8

Tap at Komachi. Nice shiny black. Nose of chocolate, licorice, pine, oranges. Minty, pine flavor, licorice and chocolate. Lightly fruity. Tasty.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2017, day 1. Dark brown color, average sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, roasted malts, dark malt dominating over the hops which are clearly there but not dominantly enough imo. Body is a bit thinner than I had hoped. Ok.

Thank you for sharing! Sampled draft @ Borefts 2017. Day 2. Dark brown, tanned head. Nose is interesting bitter leaves, almost maple. Nose is interesting but taste is not for me all bitter bark & bitter leaves unpleasant, lingering bitterness, to my profile. Too bad.
