Back by popular demand is this delicious, refreshing, full-bodied golden ale.
Spring Break was created in 2022 in collaboration with two apprentice’s studying on the University of Nottingham brewing programme, a course strongly supported by our Master Brewer.
NB - also branded as George & the Flagon for St George's Day 2025 (not to be confused with George and the Flagon, an earlier different beer)

GK at it again with a bang-average beer! Golden amber with a frothy / creamy white head and a light malt aroma. Smooth and a touch creamy, biscuit malt, a hint of spice, some floral hops and fruity notes, a touch of bitterness and a dry finish.

Cask at the Assembly House, Kentish Town on 14th April 2026. Coppery amber with shallow, dull foam and almost no lacing. Almost cidery apple aroma. Spiced apple and sour citrus in-mouth and a vinegary finish with mustiness. Flat mouthfeel and indeterminate body. Undrinkable.

Cask ale, half pint at Cavells Cafe in Sheffield. Clear, warm golden body, fading white head, scattered lacing. Moderate smell of ripe lemon and cereal malts. Mixed malt-fruity flavours, bread-like malts, lemon, and a backdrop of leafy hops. Rounded mouthfeel. Fair enough. (Sheffield, 28.04.2025).

Cask @ Regal Moon, Rochdale. Golden, clean tasting with a creamy head. Crisp too with a light hoppy character. Session stuff.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A pale amber pour with a thin white head; creamy lemon aroma; soft orangey citrus taste; and a gentle bitter citrus finish. A pleasingly citrus beer.

Cask at the moon under water Watford Jdw. A clear golden orange coloured pour with a lasting beige cap. Aroma is mellow zesty citrus oil, lemon cif, nutty malts. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, nutty brown bread, lemon rind, citrus oil. Little adjunct. Palate is semi sweet, creamy, moderate cask condition. Not bad.
