colour with a rich malt palate and subdued hop notes in the finish. We have used Pale Ale Malt, Crystal Malt and Invert Sugar for a full, slightly fruity malt palate. This is balanced by Challenger hops.

The chestnut brown head quickly falls. The nose is nutty, caramel, dried fruit, sponge cake, dates, figs. The taste includes toffee, fruit cake, dates, roasted brown sugar, nutty notes, raisins. Medium-bodied with a kick, slight saturation, rich, relaxing alcohol gives a liqueur note and a bit of warming in the throat. Solid, aromatic, smooth. Great!

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Poured into my Gordons thistle shaped glass at home on Sunday 26th January 2025, Live tasting of the only beer I am having today. Fast fading beige head on a clean and clear chestnut red body. Soft malty nose and initial taste, boozy feel and semi sweet throughout. Hedgerow fruits and raisins/plums arrive mid sip. Weather outside is awful and this has brightened up my evening somewhat.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Clear copper brown with thin off-white top. Aroma of ethanol, toffee, brown sugar, liquorice, light fruit cake. Taste is very malty, brown sugar, toffee, almond and a slight floral hop. Medium to full bodied and very much a sipper. Its ok, a bit on the rough side.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 03/12/24. Chestnut brown topped with a light beige cap that thins to a swirl and edging. Nose is nutty, caramel, stewed fruits, biscuit, dates, figs. Taste comprises toffee, fruit cake, dates, toasted brown sugars, nutty twang, raisins. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light dose of alcohol. Solid flavoursome number.

12th November 2024
Clear deep amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin but sweet malts, sweet caramel and cream. Sweet ripe fruits turning to sweet berry fruits on the back end, both red and dark berries. A light alcohol spicy nip. More caramel and berry fruits on the light crisp finish. I think I am supposed to turn my nose up at this? Dunno! All I care about is what does it taste like and is it drinkable. The answers to those questions here are, alright and yes.

330ml bottle bought as part of a delivery from Beers of Europe and drunk at home. Ruddy brown and a bit cloudy with a small ring of beige head. Figs and brandied raisins on the nose, lots of fruited caramel, pretty boozy notes. Sweet, sweet, sweet taste, lots more fig, sugary caramel. A gentle bitterness in the finish. Thick body, very low carbonation. Actually pretty good.

Spotty beige head on a reddish brown still body. Caramel, toffee & plum aroma. Full bodied, smooth & soft with a tingle on the back. Toffee, plum, malt & syrup tastes. Not so sure about this - BBE 2027 - maybe should have been left to mature for a few years. Lots of potential.
