Our Lerwick IPA takes a traditional style of beer brewed with modern techniques to produce a flavour sensation. On the nose there is immediately the fruity American Cascade Hops followed by malty caramel sweetness. These complex notes follows through to the palate where the beautiful balance of this 5% India Pale Ale really shines, finishing with citrus bitterness.

330ml bottle (or two) as part of a delivery from the brewery and drunk at home. Dark golden brown, mostly clear with an off-white head. Gummy resinous aroma with overripe tangerine and fruited caramel. It's malty and fairly bitter at the same time with more citrus peel in the mouth. Lightly herbal bitterness in the aftertaste. Oily body, somewhat thick for the ABV, soft to medium carbonation. It's decent.

330ml bottle, online from the source. Pours clear chestnut brown with a few beige bubbles. Aroma: brown bread, caramel, dark fruits. Taste: light sweet & light to moderate bitter, fruity, caramel, bread. Light to medium body with almost no carbonation. Old school malty boi but it's pretty lifeless, needs some carb for mouthfeel.

13/2/2021. Bottle sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours clear dark amber with a small frothy off-white head. Attractive pour. Aroma is lightly toasted, malty, caramel, floral, gently spiced, cardamom, touch of spruce. Medium sweetness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, a little fizzy. Not your standard IPA by any definition but quite likeable.
