Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - opaque black with a creamy tan to beige head. Nose - dark chocolate and raisin. A hint of nuts. Taste - something a bit peanut butter and jelly going on here with creamy dark chocolate encasing it. Fruit and nut bar. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture. Light roasty bitterness on the end with a decent linger. Overall - lovely complex stout and not specifically in the Dry Stout style from this encounter.

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced from the brewery. Pours deep black-brown with a foamy, beige head. Strong bittersweet cocoa character, lots of ashy roast, charred wood dryness, bitter black coffee, very light sweetness. Light bodied with fine carbonation and velvety texture. Dry and bitter to finish, lingering ash and baking cocoa. Good, toothy stout.

Bottle at home picked up from HOTM. A opaque dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting creamy tan head. Aroma is nice rich earthy roast, dry roast, fresh piney hop, bark. Flavour is composed of big rich ashy roast, singed pine, bark, some liquorice. Lingering bitter roast. Palate is rounded, nitro like, mellow carbonation. Really nice. Huge flavour for the abv.
