We are particularly happy to have the next release from our barrel room ready at last. Welcome ‘Nedward’ to the family! He is a Flanders Red, aged in used Larmandier Bernier Champagne barrels for one year, before spending 3 months on organic raspberries. This beer follows on from a prototype of which we produced more than 2 years ago which was called ‘Stupid Sexy Flanders’.

(Bottle) Brownish red colur with foamy, tan head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of raspberries, cherries, blood orange, red fruit, oak wood and a touch of balsamic vinegar. Fruity, tart taste with raspberries, cherries, pink grapefruit, caramel, balsamic vinegar, oak wood and a dry and tart finish. More than medium body, dry. Not really Rodenbach Grand Cru complexity, but really tasty with a good, tart raspberry character and a mild vingar acidity. Very nice.

Lovely flandern. Perfect for nice summer evening. Lovely amber color. Good intensity in the aroma. Pleasant carbonation level. Easy to drink. Mild vinegar, pleasant mellow raspberry, fruity and some oak. Yummi.

Flaska från SB, drygt ett år gammal. Rödbrun med medelhögt smutvitt skum. Mjuk och bärig syra. Komplex med hallon, körbär, plommon, fat, sötsyrlig lite lent gräddig smak. Tankarna går till Caractere rouge eller 3F Hommage. Riktigt riktigt gott.

Bottle split at CBC Islington, thanks to Daniel, 26/04/17. Hazed reddish amber with a decent light beige cap. Nose is tarte fruit rinds, spice, pepper, floral nip, oaky wood must. Taste comprises woody notes, acidic ripple, earthy red berry fruit, light peppery spice, tannins, dried fruit skins. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced acidic rasp. Decent enough sour.

Craft Islington bottle share. Thanks to Dirty Dan the photograph manipulate man. Light haze on this amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Soft malts, mild creamy sweetness. Good tangy fruits, surprising raspberry. Light dry finish. Decent.
