This beer was conceived with the intent to push the concept of Doppelganger to the limit of flavor and intensity. Both the kettle hopping rates and dry hopping rates were increased while keeping the base beer the same. The result is intense, but also surprising in its balance and softness. The mouthfeel is viscous and coating with flavors of overripe mango, dank citrus, and tropical fruit balanced by a sharp but pleasant finish. A treat to warm you up as a true New England winter takes hold!

Draught @ Tree House, Chorlton, MA. Smooth, sweetish and juicy fruity with some pine, tropical notes, grass, citrus and herbal notes. Sweet and hoppy. Re-rated from can. Feels more fresh and herbal hoppy. Quite nice and balanced. Good stuff.

Can shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Pineapple forward nose with some pear, mango and apricot notes. Tropical fruit salad on the palate as well, smooth texture, but some nice piney bitterness to balance everything out in the end. Great stuff.

Can, by way of a trade with Leighton. Cheers! Fully hazy, pale, orange gold. Thin and leggy, lasting, white head. Nose has a load of stone fruit esters. Overripe peach and yellow melon. Some leafy herb. Some sweet, vanilla like notes. Taste is sticky sweet, with a nicely rounded, citrus pith bitterness. Mouthfeel is sticky and fairly rich. Soft carbonation. Big on the stone fruit esters to finish. Tasty gear.

Draft at Tree House before the sixth anniversary party. Typical hazy appearance. Aroma is quite nice; pineapple, mango, mild danky pine notes. The flavor is very juicy. Ton of pineapple and mango. The finish had plenty of piney hop bitterness. Yet all balanced by the large amount of juice. Yeah, it is top tier. New England IPA in it's element.

12/VI/18 - 1Pt. can as a gift, shared side by side with the Doppelganger @ ElManana+1's place - BB: n/a, canned: V/16/18 (2018-765) Thanks to Amy F. for both versions!
Very cloudy bright beige yellow beer, small creamy yellowish head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very dank, sweaty feet, cheesy, onions. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, lots of grapefruit, citrus, cheesy, very dank, some onions. Aftertaste: more of the same, nice, but I like the regular Doppelganger better!

Can shared by Kyle, thanks! Pours a cloudy orange gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma is full of juicy citrus with a light dankness and sweet grains. Flavor has earthy, dank and juicy citrus with a bit of light grains underlying.

L42 Bottleshare. Big thanks to Leighton for the can. Cloudy gold beer, decent cream colour head. Palate is light, dry and fairly crisp. Intense fresh hop spice burns the tongue. Orange and a little lemon citrus. Good tropical fruits. Light dry finish finds the hop spice building even more. Intensely hop spicy DIPA.
