Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours darkest brown to motor oil with a small khaki head. The aroma is sweet, sappy, oily, toffee, fudge, vanilla, fig, prune, plum, raisin, sultana, toasted fruit cake, red wine and jam. The taste is slick, oily, bitter - sweet, tannin, jammy, leather, spice, warming, blackcurrant, bramble, buckfast, tannin, leather, spice and earth with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate fluffy carbonation. Interesting fruity vibes.

11th February 2023 Almost clear brown beer, a few darkish tan bubbles just about form a head. Smooth palate, doesn't feel heavy but there is a slight viscosity. Good fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little creamy chocolate and a nice smooth earthy coffee. Soft fruity bourbon but with a fairly spicy edge. The apple brandy comes through clearly on the back end along with smooth vanilla oak. Smooth finish has all the flavours coming together into a harmonious whole. Spicy linger. Bloody marvellous. Mystified by the many sub 4 ratings. Seriously? This is layered, rich but light and hugely drinkable for its 13%+ abv. Well each to their own, but they are plain wrong! 😁

ABV: 13.1%. Clear dark black brown colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate - coffee, dark malt, caramel, light nutty. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, dark malt - coffee, wood, barrel - bourbon - vanilla. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - smooth, carbonation is soft, finish feel is warming. [20211022]

[10/22/2021] Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2021. Blue session. Brown. Sweet, malt, caramel, a bit of fruitiness.

Tap@MBCC 2021, Copenhagen - Sweet toasted malty with dried fruit shred. Caramel toffee maple, full body, lingering sweet malty close. Very nice.

MBCC. Black without head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt, vanilla and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Oily and boozy. 221021
